ABOUT Behind the Scenes Psychology

Psychology for the person behind the scenes.

What is Growth Psychology?

Psychology isn't only about treating what's wrong.  It's also about understanding yourself, strengthening your self-worth, changing patterns that aren't serving you and learning how to live more fully.

Life can look perfectly fine from the outside while things feel very different on the inside. You might be functioning, working, studying, raising a family and managing everything life asks of you but still feel overwhelmed, self-critical, stuck, disconnected from yourself or unsure of how to move forward.

At Behind the Scenes Psychology, we believe psychology isn't only about treating what's wrong. It's also about understanding yourself, building psychological wellbeing and creating meaningful change.  We help adults explore the patterns, beliefs and experiences that influence how they see themselves, relate to others and respond to life.

With a particular focus on self-worth, self-esteem, self-acceptance and personal growth, our approach is warm, practical and educational. Drawing on evidence-based psychological therapies including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and others, we help you understand what's happening beneath the surface and develop the skills and self-understanding to move forward.

You don't have to wait until you're in crisis to seek psychological support.

- Sometimes, you simply want to feel more confident in yourself.
- Sometimes you want to break patterns that no longer serve you.
- Sometimes you want to understand why you feel the way you do.
- And sometimes you know you're ready to grow.

Learn. Grow. Live Better.

Because what's happening behind the scenes matters.
